About

Writer and editor with six years' experience across academic, business and content writing, including more than 400 completed projects for international clients.

Background as a research scientist, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, brings real technical accuracy to scientific, medical and regulatory writing alongside general business and content work. Every project runs through the same process: briefing, drafting, revision and quality control, to agreed deadlines.

What I write

What I write, and how carefully.

These are the documents where one careless line can cost someone a grant, a licence, an interview or a reader. So the research comes first, the structure second, and the polish last.

01

Medical & Regulatory Writing

Safety summaries, clinical documents, regulatory submissions. Written to be checked by people whose job is to find the error.

02

Medical Communications

Conference abstracts, publication support, medical education and plain-language summaries for patients and the public.

03

Academic & Grant Writing

Research papers, dissertations, literature reviews and grant proposals with the gap-to-aims logic funders look for.

04

Business & Technical Writing

Business plans, proposals, white papers, case studies and annual reports that clear diligence rather than just fill pages.

05

Career Documents

CVs, cover letters and statements of purpose built in the order a hiring manager or admissions panel actually reads.

06

YouTube Scriptwriting

Explainer and educational scripts for health, science and business channels: hooks, retention beats and a close that earns the share.

07

Creative & Copywriting

Landing pages, campaign copy, brand storytelling and taglines. Written for the reader's arithmetic, not the product's feature list.

Editorial & Manuscript Review

Developmental and line editing, and journal-submission preparation. Your argument, made defensible: claim strength matched to evidence, structure tightened, every number checked. Offered as a service alongside the writing specialties above.

Inside the work

What a brief looks like from my side.

The document gets typed, checked and corrected. The conversation stays short. Both happen in the same working day.

Client
Good morning Dr Samson. We need a 40-page audit turned into a 2-page brief for the board. Friday possible?
Yes. Scope, timeline and price with you by 4pm today.
Perfect, thank you.
DeliveredBoard_Brief_Final.pdfThursday, 3:40pm. A day early.
This is exactly what we needed.
Samples

Read the actual writing.

One full piece per specialty. Five long-form samples and two before-and-after demonstrations. Open any of them and turn the pages.

Medical & Regulatory Writing

Periodic Safety Update, Executive Summary

Long-form sample · About 1,100 words
No new safety signal was identified for the product during the reporting period. Two serious adverse event reports were received; both were assessed as unlikely to be causally related, and the benefit-risk balance remains unchanged.
Medical Communications

Plain-Language Summary of a Clinical Study

Long-form sample · About 950 words
Patients who took the new tablet once a day had fewer flare-ups over six months than patients who took the usual treatment, and the side effects were similar in both groups. Here is what the study did, what it found, and what it does not tell us yet.
Academic & Grant Writing

Research Proposal: Antimicrobial Residues Beyond the Farm Gate

Long-form sample · About 1,900 words
Resistance research counts the pathogens. It rarely follows the drug. This proposal traces antimicrobial residues from treated livestock into soil and water across three farming systems, and asks how long selective pressure persists after the animal has left.
Business & Technical Writing

Business Proposal: A Cold-Chain Delivery Service for Community Pharmacies

Long-form sample · About 1,500 words
Community pharmacies lose stock, and sometimes patients, because temperature-sensitive medicines arrive warm. This proposal sets out a dedicated cold-chain last-mile service, priced per drop, that pays for itself on avoided wastage alone within the first year.
YouTube Scriptwriting

Explainer Script: Why Your Antibiotics Stopped Working

Long-form sample · About 1,000 words · 7 to 8 minutes
[HOOK, 0:00] You took the full course. You did everything right. And it still did not work. This is not bad luck. It is a system, and once you see it you cannot unsee it.
Creative & Copywriting

One Landing Page, Written Four Times

Long-form sample · About 1,050 words · 4 versions
The first version says what the product is. The fourth says what the reader gets. Same facts, same product, four attempts, and the reasoning for why only one of them survives.
Career Documents

Before and After: A CV Profile and Experience Section

Before / after demonstration · Two versions, same candidate
Same candidate, same facts. The first version lists duties. The second version proves results, in the order a hiring manager actually reads.
Editorial & Manuscript Review

Before and After: A Discussion Paragraph, Edited

Before / after demonstration · One paragraph, tracked
A single paragraph from a manuscript discussion section, shown as submitted and as edited, with the reasoning behind each change. Meaning preserved, claims made defensible, length cut by a third.

A few of these exist as finished, typeset documents. Page through them here.

Every sample is representative work written to show craft. Organisations, products and figures are invented, and each piece is watermarked. Real client work is shared only with permission and never with identifying details.

Designed work

Not just the words. The whole document.

Each of these was written and designed end to end, from the argument down to the typesetting. The organisations are illustrative and every page is watermarked.

Investor pitch deck

A company asking to be believed.

This deck has to do something difficult: convince people who have heard every pitch before that this one is different. So it never asks the reader to assemble the story themselves. The argument runs in a straight line from the problem to the money, and the charts exist to settle questions rather than to fill space.

2
Studio brochure

A studio that knows what it is.

A brochure is picked up, half opened, and put down again. This one is built for that: whatever panel happens to be facing the reader makes sense on its own, and the whole thing says what the studio does and how it works without asking for more attention than it has earned.

3
Strategy deck

A brand deciding where to spend.

Marketing plans usually read like a wish. This one reads like a decision. It works out who the customer actually is, picks the few channels worth the money, and commits to how each choice will be judged, so the team can tell later whether it worked.

4
Business plan and proposal

A business explaining how it works.

A business plan and a partnership proposal, both written for readers who will look for the weak point. They set out what the company sells, who it competes with, what it costs to run and what has to be true for the plan to hold, in language that does not hide behind the numbers.

How a project runs

Four steps, every time.

1

Briefing

Scope, audience and objective agreed before any writing starts. You get a clear scope, timeline and price back within 24 hours.

2

Drafting

Research-led drafting against the brief. Where the subject is technical, accuracy is checked at the source, not assumed.

3

Revision

Structured revision rounds against the original brief. You see tracked changes, not a mystery rewrite.

4

Quality control

A final pass for grammar, originality and factual accuracy before anything is delivered.

01

Accuracy at the source

Technical claims are checked against the primary evidence, not paraphrased from a summary of it.

02

Confidential by default

Your material stays yours. Nothing is reused, shown or quoted without written permission.

03

Deadlines that hold

A date agreed at briefing is a date kept. If scope changes, you hear about it before it costs you time.

Sammy came through with his excellent CV development skill. A friend needed to submit his CV within a short time, Samson got the job done. My friend was not only invited for the interview, he also bagged the role. I recommend SammyScribes anyday, any time. He's excellent at what he does and very reliable.

I've had the privilege of sharing the dormitory with Samson during my undergraduate years, and right there I witnessed his sheer brilliance and ability to foster good personal relationships. Samson might be a veterinary doctor by trade but his eloquence, both verbal and written, is outstanding.

Samson is a dear friend whom I had the opportunity to work with back in the University. Despite studying Veterinary Medicine, he was very passionate about Arts; Public Relation and Content Writing which he does with keen interest. I've always watched him from nearby and I'm proud of how far he's come. He's a great man to work with and have onboard.

Questions

Before you send the brief.

What do you need from me to start?

The purpose of the document, who will read it, any source material, the deadline, and the format it has to arrive in. If you have a template, a rubric or a funder's guidance, send that too.

How is the work priced?

Per project, quoted after the brief. The quote states scope, timeline and the number of revision rounds included, so there are no surprises at the end.

Which English do you write in, and across which time zones?

British or US English, whichever your reader expects, applied consistently. Briefs are answered within 24 hours wherever you are, and deadlines are set in your time zone, not mine.

Will my material be kept confidential?

Yes, by default. Nothing you share is reused, shown or quoted. A signed non-disclosure agreement is available if your organisation requires one.

Can you match a house style or an existing voice?

Yes. Send two or three examples of the voice you want and it will be matched. For journals and funders, the submission guidelines are followed to the letter.
